In the Spring of 2019, I plan to offer training to children between the ages of 14 and 18 in llama husbandry and handling skills along similar lines to the structured 4 H programmes that run throughout North America. It will comprise of a series of 6 weekly classes/workshops on Saturday mornings between 10 and noon. It will explore scientific and behavioural aspects of llamas with hands on experience of how to approach a llama safely, tend to its nutritional and medical needs, prepare a llama for showing etc.
